Murcia property and area information
• The province of Murcia is sandwiched between the large provinces of Andalucia and the Valencian community on the south east coast of Spain, Murcia is a small region on contrast to its neighbours with a total population of roughly 1.3 million inhabitants.
• Murcia's main industry until late has been the produce of fruit, vegetables and flowers which are exported throughout Europe and the rest of Spain - another popular product to make its way out of Murcia is its well known wines that are enjoyed throughout Spain and exported worldwide.
• The climate in Murcia is one of the warmest in Spain, with extremely mild winters and often very hot summers with temperatures sometimes reaching over 40°C - the annual rainfall is also very low, the region enjoys over 300 days on average of sunshine per year.
• There is plenty to see and do, with some excellent historical attractions such as Museums, theatres, religious sites and monuments - also there are many fiestas celebrated throughout the region. With the vast construction for the every expanding region - Murcia has a lot more on offer for everyone - Murcia is very well known now for the professional golf clubs and courses that have been built in the area.
• The new developments that have been built which include golf courses attract foreigners from all over the world, golf lovers have been attracted by the excellent facilities that are now on offer in Murcia. Such developments include bars, restaurants, golf courses, health and beauty centres, other sports facilities, live enterainment and much more.
• Murcia's development has been slow compared to the likes of the Costa del Sol and the Costa Blanca, however - with the slow down in other areas Murcia is now one of the fastest growing areas in Spain. For those that are moving to Spain, Murcia is an up and coming region - great to start a business and take advantage of the large influx of people moving to Murcia (many new services are needed).
• The coast line is relatively untouched in comparsion to the bust costas of the Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca, with some beautiful untouched beaches to enjoy on your holidays or even if you live here permanently.
